Popcorn Potential is expanding across Canada and North America and is seeking experienced professionals from fundraising, philanthropy, donor relations, nonprofit leadership, and stakeholder engagement backgrounds who are interested in applying their skills in a flexible remote environment.
This independent contractor opportunity is suited to professionals who have built careers around trust, communication, and long-term relationship management, and are now looking for a more flexible and professionally rewarding next chapter.
Having spent more than 15 years working in philanthropy leadership, including time living in Vancouver and studying at University of British Columbia, I understand both the purpose-driven nature of this work and the growing desire many professionals feel for greater flexibility, autonomy, and balance.
What You’ll Be Involved In
- Engaging in professional conversations with individuals exploring leadership, career growth, and personal development opportunities
- Applying relationship-building and stakeholder engagement skills within a remote consulting environment
- Conducting structured virtual conversations via Zoom and digital platforms
- Supporting communication and outreach activities across LinkedIn and related channels
- Participating in ongoing leadership and professional development training
- Operating independently within established systems, processes, and ethical standards
This is a people-focused role designed for experienced professionals who communicate well, build trust naturally, and enjoy helping others explore new possibilities.
Your Background
We’re seeking professionals with experience in areas such as:
- Fundraising, Philanthropy, Donor relations, Nonprofit leadership, Advancement, Community engagement, Stakeholder management, Partnership development
Ideal candidates will bring:
- 5+ years of professional experience
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Confidence working remotely and independently
- Familiarity with platforms such as LinkedIn, Zoom, and CRM systems
- A growth-oriented and professional mindset
- The ability to manage conversations with empathy, credibility, and professionalism
